Configuration & Data Management Lead
Position Summary: KBR is seeking a Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) Lead to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites. Duties and Responsibilities: Designs and establishes configuration management documentation including DM on an EDIMS SharePoint cloud environment and PIMS external SharePoint farm. Also interface/use Government TopVue systems for specific deliverablesWork with IT on any associated IT needed system capacity expansion or issues as well as granting internal and external user proper needed access.Authorizes the release of drawings and changes specified by Program Management and other functional groups.Maintain CM/DM control and authorizes the release of the following to DSLM/STORMS customers. 1.System mission software releases/patch update, 2. Security/SWMA Software updates, Line Replacement Unit (LRU) software/firmware, 3. Documentation deliveries such as CRDLs/support document releases 4. Drawings/Technical Orders CM releases
Act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.Provide work leadership for lower-level employees, including CM/DM associates and Document Production (DP) editorsThe ideal candidate has experience establishing professional rapport and interacts with the customer on significant Satellite Control Network (SCN) and related needing CM/DM guidance. This position reports to the IT Engineering CM/DM Manager for day-to-day operations.Interacts with external entities responsible for monitoring DSLM CM/DM quality/results. As they relate to program/project schedule and expenditure or efficient use of resources, and overall quality of KBR contractual product deliveries.Responsibilities:
Plan and implement the assigned DSLM CM/DM program.
Assist with organization objectives, work plans, schedules, standard procedures, and metrics to ensure completion of all CM/DM organization tasks and assignments.
Collaborates/coordinates daily with customer reps to guide related CM/DM strategies, problem solving/management to enable the overall team to better respond to program related problems or issues.
Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.
Assist with program status reviews and contribute/participate as needed on behalf of CM/DM in Technical Interchange Meetings
Provide M/DM related content for program proposals.
Oversees section employee timecard authorization, collection, and signing as well as travel authorizations and expense reports.
Reviews staff performance against goals. Plans, approves, and implements actions for the timely development and progress of individuals.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and possess/capable of obtaining a DoD secret clearance.
A demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in relevant tasks to the areas of responsibility/staff (CM/DM)
A proven expertise in the management and control of project tasking and resources.
Demonstrate ability to lead, guide/mentor and manage staff in multi-task contracts.
Must have excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
A proven ability in planning and implementing CM/DM programs.
Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Possess effective communication skills to deal with external government agencies, in the area of CM/DM.
General knowledge of the SCN or other operating systems including CM/DM.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience. 8 years configuration analysis experience.
Professional/advanced degree/certification highly desired.
Basic Compensation: Salary range: $103,000 – 129,000The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
