Currently working with a top tier Venture Capital and Alternative Investment Firm that is looking for a Compliance Associate. This position will work closely with the VP of Compliance on all aspects of SOX and Internal Control functions. From testing, setting up narratives, and other compliance functions. Compliance Associate
Position Description:
This full-time position is responsible for the execution of key compliance activities and is meant to strengthen the internal compliance team, focusing on ensuring both compliance with internal processes as well as external regulations.
Duties:
Strengthen and develop the internal control program, including conducting COSO/SOX testing
Assist in all facets of internal, external, and independent audits, and partner annually with the COSO/SOX team
Maintain and document the Internal Compliance Program, ensuring all evidence for compliance reviews is gathered
Assist in the accurate and up-to-date documentation of internal processes, policies, and procedures
Collaborate closely with our Limited Partner's Compliance and Regulatory teams
Provide required legal entity data and other reports to our Limited Partner in line with regulatory obligations
Regularly prepare and distribute metrics related to compliance functions
Consistently evaluate and test controls to ensure alignment with compliance obligations
Understand and execute required compliance programs, be it from internal policies or regulatory mandates
qualifications:
Qualifications:
1-3 years industry experience preferred
Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications with a heavy focus on Excel
