JOB REQUIREMENTS: Completions Aircraft Layout and Designer I -Appletonin GAC Appleton Unique Skills: This is a Design Engineerposition in Aircraft Layout and Design Engineering for Completions.Design responsibilities primarily involve engineering standard andcomplex floorplans creating 2D design packages utilizing AutoCAD andCatia. In addition to design packages this also includes but not limitedto, carpet layout drawings, exterior marking drawings, emergencyequipment layouts, and material call-out drawings. At times thisposition will be required to assist in the 3D design of new andderivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part ofoutfitting new aircraft utilizing Catia. Examples include customcabinetry such as galleys, lavatories, closets, storage compartments,interior peripheries, water/waste systems, entertainment equipmentinstallations, and seating installations. AL&D Design engineer willemploy design standards consistent with company standards and accepteddesign methods. Design assignments are executed under the direction ofthe Engineering Manager or Lead Eng to meet the customer upfrontschedules. This position will have high interaction with CustomerDelivery Executives, and Customer Delivery Associates. Proficient in theuse of AutoCAD and Catia to create complicated designs requiring 2-Ddrawings from 3D Models. Currently this will utilize CATIA and Smarteamto extract data for the 2D AutoCAD design packages of aircraftinteriors. Proficient in the use of Catia to assist in the design of 3Dmodels for aircraft interiors. Proficient in managing resources andprojects as well as being a high contributor to the overall work effort.Faulty decisions could cause delays in schedules, and inefficient use ofresources. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor\'s DegreeEngineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience sufficient to successfully perform theessential functions of the job.
