Hamilton College's Library and Information Technology Services division (LITS) seeks a Communications and Training Coordinator to join our team for an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in leading the college through a multi-year effort to replace Hamilton’s Human Resources, Finance and Student systems through the implementation of Workday. Phase 1 of the project began in April 2023 with the implementation of Workday’s Human Resources, Payroll and Finance solutions and is scheduled to conclude in the summer of 2024. The final phase of the effort is scheduled to begin in the February of 2025 and will conclude in the fall of 2027 with Workday Student.

This is a full-time, term position that will conclude at the end of the project. This position is eligible to work remotely, but will be expected to perform duties during Hamilton’s scheduled business hours of Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST, and may require travel back to campus. The salary range is $65,000 to $75,000.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Director, Library and IT Finance and Resources/Enterprise Change Manager, the Communications and Training Coordinator will support the implementation of Workday. Responsible for the development and implementation of effective communication strategies to enhance our organization's internal communications for the Workday implementation. The Communications and Training Coordinator will also coordinate training and awareness events, collect and analyze feedback, assess the effectiveness of change management efforts, and facilitate training sessions for the college. The Communications and Training Coordinator will collaborate on activities with the Document and End User Training Specialist.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the design, development, delivery, and management of communications for Workday
Work with functional project teams and subject matter experts to construct message content
Develop various communication channels (website, newsletters, emails, videos, presentations, etc.) to disseminate information about the Workday project
Ensure all communications are in line with Hamilton College’s brand and values
Coordinate training and awareness events for faculty, staff, and students
Collaborate with training leads on training materials and training sessions to ensure the content and schedules are aligned with the change
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies and communication efforts
Actively participate in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Hamilton community
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, or a related field
A minimum of four years of proven experience in communication strategy and change management, preferably in a higher education setting
Creativity and a strategic mindset in crafting communication content and plans
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong understanding of enterprise systems, specifically Workday, is highly desirable
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with content management tools (e.g., WordPress), communication tools and video recording/editing software (e.g., Camtasia, Panopto, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations as well as demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
