Our team is anintegrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting of core servicesof Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Site Civil Engineering. We workin a wide variety of markets including Tech/Media/Telecom, CommercialReal Estate, Healthcare, Science and Technology, Industrial,Water/Wastewater, Federal and Mission Critical buildings andinfrastructure. We have an industry leading focus on sustainable design andeneThe Colorado Electrical Business Class Leader is responsible for the growth,operations and technical leadership of the electrical team which encompassesdesign, staff development and mentoring, workload management,profitability, morale, and quality control. In addition, the BusinessClass Leader will be responsible for building strong external and internalclient relationships with other HDR business group leadership as well asparticipation in marketing and project planning and serving as arepresentative of HDR in the local industry.This position will perform the following activities and tasks:Establish client relations and be involved with marketing and clientdevelopment activities.Manage the technical and operational activities of the electrical discipline.Prepare/review project budgets and scopes for the electrical discipline andtrack budget status.Schedule and coordinate all work performed inside the discipline.Establish work priorities and project assignments for staff.Monitor scope of work and scope changes.Facilitate and encourage coordination with other discipline groups.Conduct interviews in support of the hiring of new staff for the section andprovide new employee mentoring.Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.Schedule and conduct section meetings to discuss productivity, workload andquality control issues.Advance the skill level of personnel through training, education,experience, etc.Coordinate with the electrical discipline managers of other business grouplocations to review workload, project status, and staffing requirements.Prepare/review electrical engineering scope of work and budgets/estimatesfor proposals.Monitor changes in codes, regulations and client standards and keep staff upto date on current industry practicesImplement any required changes into the electrical design standards,procedures, and deliverables.Perform quality control reviews.Serve as a Project Manager occasionally and/or Task Lead when applicable.Perform project engineer duties when required.
#LI-BS1QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineer withan Electrical emphasis required.PE license is required.Minimum 10 years design experience of electrical systems for large complexbuildings/facilitiesExperience in design calculations, specifications, and preparation ofconstruction drawings for cor orate/commercial development, industrial,federal or mission critical projects.Strong communication, listening and mentoring skills.Experience mentoring junior staff.Ability to handle multiple assignments.Good leadership and organizational skills.An attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employee-ownedculture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference given to local candidates.Experience and interest in sustainable design including credentials in highperformance building design similar to LEED
