CNC Set-Up Machinist
Shift : 1st
Pay: $30 Description:
•Operator/Setup personnel make sure the machine has the proper computer program and necessary tools installed
•They position the materials being used on the machine and turn on the power
•CNC machine operators/setup personnel monitor machinery for any problems during the production run
•If there is an issue, the operator/setup personnel are responsible for making the necessary adjustments to correct the problem
•Able to adjust and reprogram controls; and sharpen and or replace worn tools or change the various types of media and/or chemicals
•Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments
•Perform adjustment through use of work offsets and tool changes due to wear as required to maintain part quality and print tolerance
•Is adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, and/or unexpected events
•Assist in keeping machines program outputs at the optimum level to meet deadlines and able to assist in minor machining preventive maintenance requirements
•Able to Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; and take accurate measurements
•Able to Identify CNC malfunctions and trouble shoot problems, collect data, establish facts, effectively involve other departments and draw valid conclusions to correct issues
•Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, and irregularities
•Reports discrepancies and/or problems to designated supervisor

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications:
•Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions, (Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent)
•Must have at least 2 years of related experience
•Must be reliable
•Must have a good attendance record
•Must be able to work in varying temperatures
•Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
•Must be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
•Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
•Set up Mills and Lathes: 3 years
· Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed
