JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position will utilize best practices to develop,modify and prove out efficient CNC MasterCam programs for short run,high complexity and close tolerance machined components. Determines therouting sequence, required tooling and processes to achieve the mostefficient method of machining, ensuring on-time delivery of qualitycomponents to the build area. Maximize utilization of machine andtechnology capabilities (dual pallets, Vericut, etc.) Assist with setupof machines and training of operators as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Analyzes detailed manufacturing drawings to determine most effective andefficient means for machining in a short run, close tolerance (.0005\")environment. Reviews new components for best machining practices,routing sequence, setup planning and program planning. Evaluates newmanufacturing technologies for enhanced machining (tooling, workholding, workflows, etc.) Writes and debugs programs utilizing modelfrom Solidworks and programming tool paths and part programs inMasterCam and/or Esprit. Utilizes available technology (Zoller, Vericut,etc.) to ensure run-ready program to maximize unattended machiningcapabilities. Prepares documentation for setup and operation. Reads andinterprets CAM posted G and M code and modifies as needed on a varietyof machine controls (Okuma, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Toshiba). Continuallychallenges existing processes (setup, programming, tooling, inspection,etc.) for improvement/enhancement opportunities. Communicates withothers in department and cross-departmentally to coordinate downstreamoperations of parts. Participates in complex or new setups and trainsstaff. Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years\'experience programming complex machines parts in close tolerance, lowvolume environment with setup and operation of precision CNC machiningequipment with various controls in a job shop/manufacturing environment;minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated highproductivity through the use of good planning and technology (MasterCamexperience preferred) Demonstrated success utilizing complex machiningsoftware and a genuine desire to adopt change to improve throughput.Attention to detail and a desire to maintain high standards ofworkmanship Possesses own quality inspection and hand tools Excellentwork ethic, ability to self-direct, prioritize work and multi-task,organized thought process with a very high attention to detail with acontinuous improvement mindset.
