Description:
Job Shop in Elkhart, IN is searching for a qualified CNC Manager.
Hours:
1st shift: 6:00am to 3:30pm (expect around 5 hours of OT per week - extra hour each day)
Pay:
$35/hr to $40/hr
Job Duties:
Provide accurate estimates of machine, inspection, and set up timing for use in quotations
Accurately assess requisite processes, machines, and timing for prospective jobs
Review technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to understand the job
Oversee a team of 7+ CNC machinists ranging from Horizontal Boring Mills, Mill-Turn, Vertical Mills, Lathes, manual machinery, etc.
Reporting any machine problems to the Plant Manager
Blueprint reading/GD&T knowledge
Utilization of shop math (Geometry & basic Trigonometry), Metric conversion
Working with ERP/MRP systems regularly

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
10+ years of machining experience with Mills, Lathes, Manual Machinery, etc.
Ability to coordinate machining a new part order from start to finish
2+ years of job shop experience
Would be Nice:
Certification in CNC Machining or field of relevance
Experience machining exotic metals like Wasploy and/or Inconel
Disqualifier:
No job shop experience
No sole fabrication shop experience (usually has minimal CNC machinery that translates to this job shop)
Experience Level:
