Job Details Position Summary: The Clinical Analyst for EpicCare Ambulatory application works under minimal supervision on all phases of clinical applications systems implementations, including in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical tasks associated with the deployment of vendor-developed software. The Clinical Analyst is able to implement, update, and maintain the application as an administrator of the program while providing support and assistance to the facility and clinical staff. Serves as a clinical liaison between IT and facility staff. Responsibilities: Participates in projects in all aspects of information systems implementation (planning, build, test, train, implement, change management, and production support). Setting standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications. Understanding choices in application specifications and prepares details of specifications as needed. Investigating the preferred choices of the users. Developing and documenting internal procedures. Ability to redefine processes and care delivery to accommodate software system in the clinical areas Ability to assist hospital staff in definition and documentation of functional requirements including existing and future state workflows Become knowledgeable in the organizational processes, policies, procedures and business operations as they relate to the project. Actively participate in live and post-live support on site. This will include training, issues with management; follow up communication and application changes. Participates and be available for in project meetings. Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks Works independently, across functional areas and hierarchical levels Accurate and timely recording of time against tasks assigned. Excellent interpersonal skills required for day-to-day interaction with entity clinical department management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for day-to-day teamwork and interaction with departmental staff. Specific clinical knowledge and experience that will enable the self-confidence to carry out responsibilities and interaction with executives in a professional manner. Willingness to travel from entity to entity. Willingness to attend training classes- out of state requiring overnight travel over multiple days and multiple trips. Ability self direct, manage and prioritize multiple tasks assigned. Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and meet goals of timeliness and quality. Ability to identify when issues need to be escalated following the escalation pathway. Must be available for on-call support regularly. Due to project requirements, overtime will be required as needed. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or Clinical License or Certifications (MLP, RN) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience Epic certified or must attend training and complete Epic certification – requires week long out of state travel for each course required for certification (multiple courses and travel weeks might be required) Strong data analysis and problem solving skills Microsoft Office Proficient Epic Ambulatory, Beacon, Bones certification preferred; or will be required within 6 months of hire. Functional Abilities (including but not limited to): Excellent interpersonal skills required for day-to-day interaction with entity clinical department management. Specific clinical knowledge and experience that will enable the self-confidence to carry out responsibilities and interaction with executives in a professional manner. Willingness to travel from entity to entity and for application go live, site visits, and workflow walkthroughs. Able to work in stressful situations. Environment is subject to high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior hospital management, associated project deadlines. Personnel evaluation and counseling. Must be available for on-call support on a regular basis. Due to project requirements, overtime will be required as needed. Salary Range USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
