　　The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursingcare to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensednurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations andto provideoptimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. Theyare responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities andaccommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician andaccording to established procedures.

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　Professional/Educational

　　Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.

　　Certified by the American Heart Association in CardiopulmonaryResuscitation (CPR).

　　Graduate of an accredited school.

　　Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.

　　DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

　　Personal

　　Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.

　　Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.

　　Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion anddiplomacy.

　　Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

　　Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.

　　Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.

　　Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
