The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Clerk/Technical Librarian to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.
Under minimal supervision, maintains PMRF technical library and performs a variety of clerical tasks associated with the work area assigned
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains inventory and records new documents for the technical library. Catalogs technical manuals, vendor literature and books.
Orders documents and technical manuals as needed or requested.
Receive, log and distribute incoming technical manuals and documents.
Performs clerical duties including typing, reproduction, distribution, filing and cataloging of documents.
Research document availability for ordering and prepares appropriate correspondence.
Support cross-utilization in other departments performing clerical tasks, as requested.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Office conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling up to 10-25 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Environment will include customer contact, an office laboratory environment with field assignments.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High School or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred.
Two (2) years technical library experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of general office experience required
Must have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting.
Must be proficient in operating a calculator, personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment.
Must have strong people and communication skills and perform multi-tasking (more than one task at a time) during peak periods.
Must be able to type 50-60 wpm (computer keyboard).
Must possess the following PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
