　　About the Opportunity

　　Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

　　Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

　　We are seeking a Civil Engineer to support the civil engineering of buildings and provide technical solutions on the Hinkley Point C Project. This is a key role within our embedded team based at our Bristol office location. Hybrid working will be possible between the office and home around project commitments. Key responsibilities will be:

　　Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data

　　Produce the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications and calculation notes)

　　Coordinate the work of CAD Designer in conjunction with the Design Office Manager

　　Perform design activities for fastenings in concrete

　　Technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building

　　Create and maintain and responsible for the Design Risk Register

　　Responsible for anchorage design activities

　　Here’s what you’ll need :

　　Degree educated in Civil Engineering

　　Design office experience

　　Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations

　　Experience in plant layout engineering would be advantageous

　　Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and of the design of fastenings in concrete

　　Design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures

　　Know how to deal with the design and layout constraints

　　Experience of using Navisworks, Mathcad and Verifplantine
