The Role:
The Head of Deposits business reports to Head of Wealth Management and leads a team of professionals managing Citi’s Deposits balance sheet, pricing strategy and products. The Deposits business manages approximately $320 Bn in deposits for Citi. It is responsible for escrow, Custody and payments for clients. The role requires thorough understanding of Wealth’s business strategy, how Deposits products fit and function within each business sector and the external economic market conditions in which the Wealth business is operating. Requires a long range strategic plan to accomplish how the Deposits products affect Citi’s Wealth businesses.
The role leads multiple teams of Deposits professionals comprising of approximately 200 employees located in multiple global locations and has the responsibility to make independent decisions on activities and issues that have impact or influence on company revenues, capital and business operations.
Responsibilities:
Directly manages the Deposits product offerings which is dispersed across the businesses comprising Citi Wealth. Integrates Deposits product activities including product development and deployment across Wealth Businesses.
Manages deposits of approximately $320 Bn for the business with resulting revenues of approximately $2.4 Bn for the firm.
Acts as lead Deposits representative across Wealth and Citi and to relevant external stakeholders including regulators, government, media and marketing as required.
Responsible for Deposits annual budget, business planning, headcount and expenses in support of our Wealth business plans.
Directs the planning and management of Deposits business to ensure strong governance, ICRM and Risk’s Controls framework is in place for the Deposits business.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies, including ethical standards, corporate governance and business practice requirements.
Leads management and coordination of regulatory relationships in partnership with Citi’s CAO and COO organizations.
Represents Wealth at ALCO and corporate Treasury Forums.
Qualifications:
10 plus years of progressively increasing relevant Deposits business experience.
Demonstrated people leadership experience including talent attraction, development and people management skills. Position directly manages the deposits product offerings across all segments of the Wealth businesses.
Proven analytical, financial structuring, problem analysis and solutions experience.
Highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills. Executive presentation and ability to participate in leadership team of Wealth organization.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.
