Job Summary and Qualifications
The Communications Specialist will support communications for both enterprise-wide and innovation locations in order to drive awareness and alignment around Care Transformation and Innovation (CT&I), digital transformation, and a culture of innovation.
· Work directly with Director of Communication to oversee weekly development, coordination, and distribution of communication packages to HCA Healthcare hospitals as part of CT&I’s innovation initiatives.
· Lead communication projects designed to support CT&I initiatives, change management, and projects from conception to implementation.
· Write, prepare and share emails, flyers, social media, and other content – including metrics and tracking – for CT&I in support of its HCA Healthcare hospitals.
· Provide graphic design enhancement to projects as needed using Adobe Creative Suite products (InDesign, etc.).
· Develop communications plans in conjunction with Director of Communications and Change Management and Communications team.
· Serve as a supporting contributor and proof reader to internal and external communications.
· Collaborate with various stakeholders to create compelling messages focused on supporting CT&I’s innovation initiatives at HCA Healthcare hospitals.
· Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
· Utilize excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experienced professional with a passion for healthcare communications and an eye for innovation.
· Creative and self-motivated with excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
· Ability to take creative direction and constructive feedback.
· Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrate strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, review and create compelling messages, and manage multiple projects.
· Experience in change management or leading communications through major organizational change.
· Associated Press writing style.
· Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite.
· Highly adaptability to re-prioritization of projects as needed.
· Working knowledge of emerging communication technologies, e.g., ChatGPT, etc.
· Demonstrated ability to extract nuanced information from subject matter experts and articulate complex concepts in clear language.
· Work independently or as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION
· To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
· Background in healthcare communications, corporate/internal communications, or experience in a healthcare setting a plus. A minimum of four years of experience in communications is also required.
