Job Overview:Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. Performs similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned.Job Requirements:Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program inBasic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)Certification in surgical technology through Association of Surgical Technologists AST accreditationTriHealth will acknowledge certification from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) for Surgical Technologists hired before July 1, 2006Job Responsibilities:Performs supply, equipment, environmental related tasks, and quality checks as required. Recognizes and reports problems appropriately. May report and follow through on equipment malfunctions. Performs stocking/cleaning requirements as needed or may notify supervisor. May monitor case carts & report missing supplies.Performs scrub duties according to hospital policy and procedure.
