What you will do: The Centralized SupervisionSpecialist will supervise investment and insurance business andactivity, in a collaborative team environment to ensure compliance withfirm policies and industry regulations. They will partner withNorthwestern Mutual field force daily to help them grow their businessthe right way. How you will do it: Perform review and supervision ofsecurities correspondence, flagged email and social media correspondencebetween financial representatives and their clients. Approvecorrespondence in accordance with regulatory requirements, as well asfirm policies and procedures. Advance higher risk flagged correspondenceto the appropriate field supervisor for resolution. Perform transactionsupervision using compliance monitoring systems (e.g. the SecuritiesMonitoring and Review Tool [SMART]) Work closely with a small numberof small to mid-sized Network Offices and their accompanying supervisoryteams to ensure appropriate monitoring and supervision is conducted inaccordance with regulatory requirements, as well as firm policies andprocedures. Play a consultative and advisory role to the fieldsupervisors to review and discuss opportunities for workflowimprovement, training, and/or documentation within their network office.Perform suitability review and ultimate approval of newly submittedbrokerage and advisory accounts. Work with supervision team to providefeedback and information on the observed trends found by the SupervisionSupport Team. Information provided outlines areas of concerns associatedwith the timeliness and/or documentation of supervisory reviews thathave been unaddressed and require action to minimize business risk andensure regulatory compliance.
