Primary Worksite: 11372 Business Park Circle, Firestone, CO 80504
Employer located in Draper, Utah, seeks Ten (10) full-time,temporary Carpenters (Level 1).
Duties: Works with other, more experienced carpenters to perform generalcarpentry work, building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms,scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters.Specific duties include: pour and screed concrete to grade and straightedged; erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above groundlevel; hang ledgers, overhang brackets, and decking with either plywoodor steel forms; tying rebar; forming slabs, columns and walls forconcrete pours; lay out footings, walls, boxes, dowels, etc.; formusing the Aluminum Gang Form, Simons, EFCO, and Stick Frame Wood Formsforming systems; and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: [No education required.] 6 months experience as acarpenter or related occupation required. In lieu of the 6 months ofexperience as a carpenter or related occupation, employer would accepteither an associate's degree (or equivalent) or a suitable combinationof education, training, and experience that it deems to be equivalent to 6months of experience as a carpenter or related occupation. Must be able tolift up to 100 pounds. Ability to read a limited number of two- andthree-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences betweenwords and between series of numbers. Ability to calculate figures and amountssuch as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
Travel is required to client worksites located throughout Weld, Park,Denver, and Adams counties.
Daily transportation is provided from employer-provided housing to intendedworksites.
On-the-job training is provided.
Wage: $26.47 per hour, paid every other week (bi-weekly). Overtimeis available at $39.71
Schedule: 60 hours per week (Monday - Saturday); normal schedule 7 am to 5 pmA single workweek will be used to compute wages due.
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Workers can elect to have employer secure housing if needed, in which casethe worker's pro rata share of the actual housing costs (rent,utilities, and renter's insurance), which will be reasonable and basedon the fair value of such benefit, will be deducted from the worker'spaycheck (if authorized by the worker). Current monthly housing cost perworker is approximately $500, including the pro rata share of rent,utilities, and renter's insurance.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will paydirectly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistencefrom the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of thework contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer willprovide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation andsubsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed towork, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employmentwith another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburseworkers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs withinthe first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburseworkers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costsduring the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment orreimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable commoncarrier for the distances involved. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least threefourths of the workdays in eac 12-week period of the total employment period.
The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, andequipment required to perform the job.
