The Career Navigator supports the Career Pathways program through the implementation of career paths and support of staff on their professional journey. They build relationships with internal and external stakeholders driving engagement in pathway opportunities and implementing and expanding development resources.
Minimum Education Required

Responsibilities
Identify career pathways and skills needed for employee growth and engagement. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the development of a candidate pipeline
Outreach and develop relationships with academic institutions and career boards to market career pathways and cultivate a candidate pipeline.
Manage, facilitate, mentor, provide leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills development for employees at all levels that aid in individual development, competency mapping, and career satisfaction.
Conduct workshops and trainings for staff and supervisors in performance management and professional development topics.
Assists with the coordination of the continuing education program.
Collects and analyzes metrics to determine program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Partner with the larger training and development team to ensure staff training programs meet the needs of the knowledge, skills, and abilities identified in the career pathways.
Ensure all staff development opportunities support Advocates’ strategic goals as well as the values and mission of the agency. This includes The Advocates Way and the Race Equity Action Plan.
Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way.
Perform all duties in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Strictly follow all agency Performance Standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years related experience. Experience in human services industry is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding and competence in working with culturally diverse populations.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Superior verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to break down complex topics to make them easier for others to understand and apply.
Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office- Word, PowerPoint and Excel and virtual platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
High energy level and superior interpersonal skills
Ability to workeffectively independently and as part of a broader team with HR and members of management.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism with all levels of staff.
Keen attention to detail and ability to organize.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must hold a valid drivers’ license and have access to an operational and insured vehicle.
