About Cardiology Physician

Overview

Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada is seeking a Board Certified (or board-eligible) General Cardiologist to serve our patients in picturesque Grass Valley, CA.

Non- or limited-invasive, non-interventional general cardiology care for adult patients in our outpatient clinic and at our community hospital

Provide general cardiology care 3-4 days per week in our outpatient cardiology clinic

Implant pacemakers and loop recorders (not required skills)

Perform Cardioversion

Read echoes, Holter monitors, stress tests, and EKGs

1:4 shared hospital call

No outpatient clinic on hospital call day

Round on inpatients

Consult with ED and Hospitalists

Oversee the hospital’s cardiology lab

Perform TEE's (required skill)

Compensation Range: $421,000 - $514,000 / Year

Dignity Health Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital is a 104-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Grass Valley, California. The hospital has been providing compassionate, quality health care to residents and visitors of western Nevada County since 1958. As an affiliate of the nationally recognized Dignity Health system, we ensure the highest standard of health care to our patients and have access to important regional resources throughout the system, including the Dignity Health Heart Vascular Institute, the Dignity Health Neurological Institute of Northern California and the Dignity Health Cancer Institute of Greater Sacramento.

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Provide clear and concise medical information.

Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

Diagnostic Procedures:

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.

Perform procedures as needed

Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.

Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Compliance:

Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

Continuous Learning:

Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.

Participate in ongoing medical education and training.

Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

A valid and unrestricted California medical license

Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)

Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program

Pay Range

$202.40 - $247.11 /hour
