Description
Oversee all phases of the proposal management processes, starting with support to BD Directors campaign activities.
Define a winning strategy in conjunction with the BD team to deliver a quality proposal which meets the customers’ requirements.
Ensure that the proposal team members use the best practices and adhere to all processes for proposal development and approvals.
Provide overall leadership and coordination of internal and external stakeholders such as Programs, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and subcontractors during the Proposal stage to establish Program strategy and build Proposal.
Lead pursuits from early-stage qualification, through capture and proposal, to final award, in accordance with CHI’s Sales Process.
Work with CHI line managers to communicate bid strategies to the proposal team and, as applicable, to management and to customers.
Providing critical leadership from the identification of an opportunity through the post submission phases of the process.
Developing and implement capture plans and strategies (including development and execution of customer call plans), have a firm comprehension of the customer’s requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors, and develop/implement winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses.
Develop a program description and background, including competitor assessment versus evaluation criteria/customer requirements.

Qualifications for capture manager
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related Field), Science, Business, or other field with significant experience in Aerospace.
A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Aerospace.
5-10 years of experience in Business development, Capture Management or Proposal management experience
Prior experience in US Government procurement process
Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are required ability to inspire confidence and provide leadership throughout the company.
Cross-functional organizations and teams
Demonstrated business acumen and ability to develop internal business cases to lead development of capture strategies.
