Job Summary/Basic Function:
This position is responsible for the development and administration of acomprehensive intramural sports program and assisting with the oversightof the club sports program. Responsibilities include providing effectiveday-to-day supervision of activities, and hiring, training, supervision,and evaluation of student employees. The Coordinator of RecSports willreport to the Assistant Director of RecSports for the Department ofCampus Recreation.

Essential Functions:
60% of Time the Campus Recreation Coordinator must perform:
Staff Supervision
Directly responsible for the hiring, scheduling, training,performance evaluations, and day-to-day supervision of approximatelytwenty (20) Intramural Sport Officials, eight (8) IntramuralSupervisors, and one (1) Program Manager(s). Provide daily, hands-oninstruction and development opportunities for student staff throughon-going training, coaching, and performance evaluations.Create and monitor the When to Work (W2W) schedule, review employeeshift trades, and approve employee time off requests. Review the W2Wschedule weekly to ensure adequate staffing levels for theday-to-day operations of the RecSports Program as well as allspecial events.Approve weekly payroll for Intramural Sport officials, IntramuralSupervisors, and Program Manager and monitor reported time foraccuracy.Staff Development
Develop, coordinate, and lead student development opportunities thatfocus on the growth and development of student employabilityskillsets.Train, coach, and evaluate the Intramural Sports team on methods toimprove the customer experience and identify opportunities toimprove the delivery of our customer service.Train, coach, and evaluate the Intramural Sports staff on methodsand best practices to officiate and control games, ensureparticipants understand and comply with game rules, and make gamecalls with confidence and knowledge of league rules.Develop and coordinate staff appreciation initiatives in order toretain student employees and build team morale.Fiscal Management
Budget, track, and reconcile all expenses related to the IntramuralSports Program on a monthly basis.Monitor and ma ntain google drive accounts for the Club SportProgram.Assist in the annual budgeting process for Campus Recreation. Thisincludes developing, forecasting, and reporting on revenues andexpenses related to your administrative area.Total budgetary oversight is \$100,000 within a \$3 million budget.Risk Management
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for individuals whoparticipate in Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and servicesas well as staff members who deliver these student-centeredexperiences.Review and analyze accident and incident reports for concerningpatterns, determine and implement solutions that impact multiplework teams within the department to remedy and/or preventreoccurrence.Provide ongoing risk management training for the Intramural Sportsstaff in order to minimize risk, reduce loss, and ensure continuityin Departmental business practices across all areas.Responsible for ensuring that all student staff members areCPR/First Aid/AED Certified and certifications are on-file and up todate.Conduct outdoor space inspections, risk management audits, andmonitor equipment inventory to minimize loss.35% of Time the the Campus Recreation Coordinator must perform ProgramDevelopment and Management:
