Job Description

　　A client of Insight Global is seeking a Design Technician to add to its Civil/Structural group supporting its Transmission & Distribution team! This team is growing rapidly, and is seeking an eager individual to start as a CAD Technician to advance to a Designer. The CAD Technician will be working on a variety of power related projects utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

　　Additional Responsibilities:

　　Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.

　　Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.

　　Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.

　　Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.

　　Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.

　　Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.

　　Research solutions to project concerns and present solutions to design problems.

　　Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Bachelor's degree in drafting technology OR related field OR associate's degree

　　AutoCAD OR MicroStation experience

　　Soft skills: strong personality, eagerness to learn, solid communication, self-starter mentality MicroStation null
