Job Title: B&W Packaging Technologist

　　Location: Port Sunlight Research Lab

　　JOB PURPOSE

　　The B&W Packaging Technologist supports the development and delivery of projects/activities that contribute to our packaging sustainability agenda to achieve our commitments, deliver efficiency & desire, and provide sustainable solutions.

　　The successful candidate will support activities across the B&W P ackaging Sustainability Team in all aspects of lab testing, validation, reporting and connection with both the brands and the business unit.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　The role holder will work as part of the sustainability team to contribute and support the delivery of programs or projects considering:

　　Support and lead the team on delivery of projects through planning, set-up and completion of packaging functional testing.

　　Lead and execute testing activities.

　　Capture and store all testing outputs within the laboratory information management system.

　　Write technical reports & complete packaging specifications.

　　Report and present findings within packaging and project teams.

　　Support on the development and validation of PCR, new recyclable structures/formats and other materials test methods.

　　Support on the virgin plastic reduction trackers as well as recyclability to assure information is up to date with the brands and the business units.

　　Contribute to build a Packaging B&W fearless team spirit with emphasis on wellbeing and collaboration.

　　Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.   These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

　　How is Unilever tackling this?

　　Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
