Description:
Buying Assistants should have strong communication and organizational skills. Primary responsibilities involve communication with vendors, image center, and our fulfillment center community. Also pulling data queries, working on large amounts of data in Excel, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
The ideal candidates will have a background in retail or e-commerce. They must be able to work in a highly demanding, but collegial environment where teamwork is essential. Successful candidates must be highly organized and have good computer skills (Excel and Word). They will also be flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting and comfortable with computer databases and tools. The ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation are a plus. They must be decisive, able to move with speed to implement their own ideas, supporting the improvement of the team goals at the same time that they are driving results for specific category management.
M-F, needs to be able to go into office 5 days IF needed – typical schedule will be 3 days but may be 5 during training based on team need
Will be working with Vendor managers and Instock Managers
Possibility for an extension
Will work on tickets and escalations
Working with vendors via email
Ability to be proactive and understand and resolve issues
Ability to work independently

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1-2 Years of relevant experience
BA degree required
Data Analysis skills
Proficient in MS office, including Excel, Pivot tables
Prioritization
Ability to work independently
Self Starter
Ability to follow through and follow up with vendors
Good communication skills
Motivated
Data Entry experience
Experience in a similar industry preferred
Ability to understand and resolve issues
Will be working with vendors on onboarding/follow-up/delivery updates
