A day in the Life:
Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.Work closely with functional leaders to plan and implement sources of supply, supplier management programs and drive cost savings.Handle contract portfolios to ensure that commercial obligations are met and the process for renewal or replacement of existing agreement is proactively managed. Demonstrate commodity expertise. Develop and manage RFP documents as appropriate to find the best sourcing solution that meets business and commercial requirements and lead negotiations with relevant suppliers to ensure FCS receives best value for money and associated year over year cost savings. Liaise with legal for large negotiations to ensure favorable terms.Proactively seek savings opportunities across commodity spend. Support process improvements and process change initiatives.Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.Demonstrate and promote the company vision.Establish and / or improve relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Establish vendor performance metrics / scorecard. Review / report quarterly (minimum). Analyze both historical and forecasted usage for material and establish robust supply chain processes re: order quantities, replenishment, safety stock levels, etc.Perform lease vs. buy analyses for Capital equipment / machinery and present recommendations to senior management.Understand critical-to-service materials / commodities and assess business risk with sole-sourced vendors. Identify and qualify alternate vendors to mitigate supply disruptions. Establish supply chain strategies for major commodities.Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.)APICS, CPM, CPIM certification preferred.
Experience
5+ years of highly satisfactory experience as a in sourcing with a proven record of leading the sourcing and qualification process for 3rd party suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, project management of cross functional teams to drive business value, and manage complex supplier relationships.Demonstrated track record of strong results.Results oriented.Excellent interpersonal skills.Experience leading complex projects across organizations.Information Systems requirement planning experience is highly desirable.Analytical experience compiling and reporting spend, discounts, pricing reductions, etc.
