JOB REQUIREMENTS: Brief Description The Regal Rexnord Gear Group seeksan experienced Buyer who is looking for a challenge, and who wants tomake an impact in a fast-paced, performance driven environment. Theposition\'s scope and primary responsibility is to execute purchaseorders and projects to implement strategic sourcing and cost reductioninitiatives, optimize inventory, and support day-to-day production andOTD requirements. Key Accountabilities Executes activities related tothe management purchase orders from the intent to purchase throughdelivery of product, including reconciliation of Purchase Orders,Receipts, and Invoices. Expedite and defer goods and services asrequired. Works directly with suppliers to ensure prompt and accuratedelivery of goods. Works with buyer/planners or other stakeholders toexpedite material and update the ERP system to reflect accurate deliverydates. Identify and execute inventory optimization initiatives andensure appropriate levels and accuracy of inventory planning. Thisincludes review and calculation of forecasts, safety stocks, Kanbanquantities, order quantities, etc. Create and manage RFQ and RFPincluding scope of work. Review bid proposals, quotes and makerecommendations based on results of quoting analysis. Maintain requiredrecords such as quotes and price lists, blanket order files, suppliercorrespondence, and supplier performance data. Review and executeengineering notifications and drawing changes. Interact with crossfunctional teams, supplier quality, materials management, engineering,accounting/finance and operations. Responsible for supplier relationshipmanagement. Works with suppliers to establish performance goals withrespect to continuity of supply, continuous improvement of cost,quality, and delivery. Monitor supplier\'s performance to agree uponservice level and OTD objectives. Work with the appropriate commoditymanager to utilize strategic sourcing processes to select suppliersbased on the best combination of cost, capability, quality, reliability,delivery. Works with cross-functional teams to execute changes to supplybase with minimal disruption to operations. Proactively seek costreduction opportunities with supplier base. Responsible for timelyreporting of agreed upon KPI\'s, Action Plans, and cost reductionresults. Manage assigned Action Plans utilizing lean manufacturingprinciples. Visit facilities as a team member to conduct supplierassessments with respect to business practices, quality of operations,opportunities for continuous improvement. Identify and resolve problemsin a timely manner. Gather and analyze information and proposealternative solutions. Key contributor in group problem solvingsituations.
