The Business Development Manager, Bioindustry will be responsible for retention and growth of existing Bioindustry clients and the addition of new accounts within the assigned territory. The role will be responsible for working cross-functionally to drive all aspects of the sales process including prospecting, responses to requests for information (RFI), proposal writing, and contracting. In addition to external responsibilities, the role will be responsible for reporting on the sales funnel, revenue forecasting, and potential new service offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer business relationship for existing and new clients within assigned territory, from first client contact to business signings. Includes lead generation, lead qualification, proposal value proposition and pricing creation, follow-up on proposal, terms and conditions/contracting, and negotiations.Meet or exceed sales targets through establishment of new accounts and upselling of additional services to existing accounts.
Demonstrate knowledge of Miltenyi product and service offerings and associated value propositions as they relate to CDMO functions.Develop a deep understanding of client's needs, their pipeline and identifies opportunities for selling new and repeat services.Work closely with Miltenyi Biotec product sales teams to identify Bioindustry leads within territory, design appropriate selling/cross-selling strategy, and convert associated opportunities.Represent Miltenyi Bioindustry by attending trade shows, conferences and maintaining active membership and participation in industry member groups and events.Serve as the voice of the customer for industry feedback.Maintain accurate customer data and updates to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and generates timely reports (i.e. activity reports, metrics, etc.) as requested.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related life sciences / engineering field (Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.) required. Advanced degree and/or extensive business experience preferred; 3-5 years of sales experience. Preference for experience in sales of cell and gene therapy products and/or GMP services; Or a combination of educations and experience.Experience in cell & gene therapy development and manufacturing is preferred.Demonstrated capabilities to translate strategy to action, effective verbal and/or written communicate at all levels of organization, work effectively in a highly matrixed account management organization, ability to multi-task, and proven track record of increasing customer base.Approximately 60% travel to client sites, corporate sites, conferences, and company functions. Must have valid driver's license. May include international travel.

For Candidates based in NYC Metro Area, the anticipated base salary range has been established at $164,100 - $222,100/year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above salary ranges represent the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
