  Job Summary:The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for promoting and developing strategies to achieve compliance and sales results for the regions or assigned tasks in Mayaguez Puerto Rico. This position is through affiliate Firstbank Insurance, LLC. The area or business that the candidate will represent is the Credit Insurance Department. This department focuses on Insurance within Personal Loans and Credit Cards. The Business Development Coordinator will support the branches of FirstBank Puerto Rico and the subsidiary Money Express. Accountable for adhering to the Bank’s BSA, AML and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFCA) applicable policies. Employee must follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the policies. Employee is also responsible for reporting any suspicious activity and/or transactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and comply with any mandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training assigned.Essential Responsibilities:• Coordinates the department’s scheduled tasks.• Coordinate meetings with internal clients to promote Credit Insurance product.• Contact internal prospect clients through visits and emails.• Present our products to potential internal clients.• Provide guidance and develop our internal clients so that they identify the needs of the external client, suggesting appropriate products/services.• Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.• Build long-term trusting relationships with internal and external clients.• Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.• Responsible for arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials.• Contribute to the development of marketing plans and strategies.• Attend sales meetings regularly to understand the products and services being marketed.• Report to the Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales progress / results.Other Responsibilities:• Participate in other special tasks or projects as assigned by Management.Minimum Requirements:A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required for this position. The incumbent must have one or more years of experience in marketing, product sales and/or customer service. Strong analytical skills, and sales techniques. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Available to work extended hours and some Saturdays, only when necessary. Valid driver's license and Life Insurance License required.
