We are looking for a Business Development and M&A Director for Western Europe and UK & Nordics Operating Units (OUs) to help support our Company’s direction and develop plans to realize our business objectives, helping Otis maintain its competitive advantage.
This position will report to the Senior Director, EMEA Business Development.
The role is preferably based in Paris (La Défense).
Your responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the OUs Leaders to design a strong inorganic growth strategy.
Conduct detailed competitive landscapes analysis to understand share of segment in various Operating Areas (OAs) and identify inorganic growth opportunities.
Develop a strong pipeline of potential M&A Targets & maintain relationships with the targets.
Identify acquisition opportunities that accelerate profitable growth.
Execute M&A Deals: drive the negotiation with targets, oversee Due Diligence process & preparation of Valuation Model (VM) & Corporate Approval Request (CAR) to obtain Senior Management approval.
Lead integration process: work closely with cross- functional leaders to prepare a detailed project plan, track progress & brief management of the status, assist on key actions to mitigate risks, and ensure synergies are realized as per business case.
Prepare executive presentation for the Senior Management
Implement post-acquisition review to evaluate performance versus business case. Use deal performance to update assumptions for future deals and capture lessons learn for future acquisition integration.
Assess 2nd brand performance, identify merge opportunities to simplify the existing structure & coordinate internal process for merge legal entities.
Assess the portfolio regularly to identify divestiture opportunities.
What you need t o be successful in this role
Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Accounting, Economics, or other related field
7-10 years of experience in a Sales & Marketing, Finance and/or Operational role
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive leaders
Presentation skills to create and deliver appropriate information to a broad audience
Ability to aggregate data and systematically apply the data to resolve business problems
Knowledge of market research processes
Familiarity with project management tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & French
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
