Job Summary Whitesville School District is seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Bus Driver, up to 5 hours daily, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to their designated locations while ensuring a positive and comfortable experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities •Safely operate a bus or van on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. •Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit, including children, seniors, and individuals with special needs. •Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the vehicle, providing support as needed. •Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior. •Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. •Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs. •Document any incidents or issues that occur during transit in accordance with company policies. •Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.Qualifications •Valid and appropriate License•19A certified•Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred. •Proficient in bus driving techniques, ensuring safety and efficiency on the road. •Background in childcare or youth services is beneficial for working with younger passengers. •Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all passengers.
