It is this position’s responsibility to triage all security system requests that are entered and ensure the issues are addressed in a timely manner. This includes assigning and removing access control rights when requested, troubleshooting door schedule issues, ensuring special event scheduling is appropriately assigned, assisting in determining technical problems with access cards, security devices, and user settings, and properly notifying UK officials, manufacturers, or third party interrogators of the need for repair or maintenance.This position will assist in the initial data entry during on-boarding of new facilities or access points on campus. This position will perform regular access control audits and remove inappropriate or outdated access rights.This position is required to assist ID badge operations for both main campus and UK HealthCare. This includes supplementing staffing in order to provide coverage for breaks, or for longer absences that may occur due to vacancies or absence. This position will also assist staff when the ID badge demand requires additional personnel, such as during Student Advising, Student Move-in, or large quantities of HealthCare groups.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThis position will require candidates to take a polygraph examination as part of the University Police Department’s employment process.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
