  POSITION IS BEING FILLED THROUGH A LIMITED-TERM APPOINTMENT; MAY LAST UP TO TWO YEARS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE EXTENDED BUT WITH NO GUARANTEE, MAY ALSO HAVE THE ABILITY TO GO PERMANENT BUT WITH NO GUARANTEE

  Position will work part-time (intermittent) hours during the limited-term assignment.

  This position serves as a Bridge Services Representative at an international border crossing. This position is responsible for the accurate classification of passenger and commercial vehicles, utilizing a point-of-sale terminal, collection of United States and Canadian currency, making proper change and performing simple math calculations, and balancing of the collected revenue. This position must provide exceptional customer service, perform duties in an efficient and accurate capacity, and requires the ability to problem solve and assist in the resolution of commuter concerns. Additionally, the position performs the review of revenue collected by automated processes, assists with the issuance of toll fare media, and responds to customer service inquiries via in-person, phone, and email communications. Other duties include routine maintenance, technology maintenance, and providing toll operations assistance to maintenance, emergency, and/or law enforcement personnel as well as other duties as assigned.

  As a 24/7 operation, this position requires working various schedules which can include weekends and holidays as needed.

  The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E7) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

  Two years of experience in a customer service position with primary focus on processing financial transactions.

  Must be able to satisfy all border crossing requirements for both United States Customs and Canada Border Services Agency.

  Possession of a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) document (e.g., Passport, Passport Card, NEXUS Card, WHTI approved State enhanced driver's license) or possession within 90 days of the date of hire into the position is required.

  Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

  Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

  Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
