Our primary marketplace is Washington, Oregon and Idaho with other potential opportunities across the United States. The successful candidate will be independent, self-motivated, energetic team player who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm.The successful candidate for this position will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of a variety of size and complexity. The candidate will have the ability to network with clients of a diverse culture of private, local, state and federal agencies.The work is predominantly office based. However, some work in the field will be required at times. Working in a variety of environments with the appropriate safety procedures and equipment may include working at heights, confined spaces, near highway vehicle traffic and ariel lift platforms.QualificationsA BSCE degree with emphasis in bridge/structural engineering. MSCE preferred with emphasis in bridge/structural engineering.Preferred Engineer in Training certificateInternship in the structural design of bridges and/or buildings and similar structures (preferred)Successful completion of the following: structural/bridge engineering course work (preferred):Prestressed Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Structural Dynamics or Earthquake Engineering, Foundation Design, Timber Design.Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation (WSDOT, ITD or ODOT) bridge design, bridge standard details, bridge design manuals or construction standards and protocols (preferred)Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, and Bluebeam Revu (preferred)Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team (preferred)Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated and eager to learnSalary Range $68,000-$78,000.This position is not eligible for sponsorship.Additional InformationWhy You Want To Work HereYou could choose to work anywhere, so why work at Coffman Engineers?
