  Compensation Overview

  The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

  Salary Range

  $109,400.00 - $180,600.00

  What Is the Opportunity?

  Supports strategic product development objectives for Bond &Specialty Insurance (B&SI), including product-related development, maintenance, compliance, system implementation, and a wide range of coverage and form initiatives across Management Liability (e.g., Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, etc.), Professional Liability (e.g., Accountants, Lawyers, etc.) and Crime, Fidelity, or other first party expense coverage (e.g., Cyber, Kidnap Ransom, etc.) products. Experience with insurance products for financial institutions is preferred but not mandatory.

  What Will You Do?

  Lead team to develop and recommend coverage, form, and product strategies. Collaborate with other business unit teams to develop and align strategies, ensuring financial objectives are met. Specifically, lead a team to develop, create, implement, and revise forms. Ensure the team creates and conducts formal presentations for leadership to convey changes and recommendations.

  Manage forms and contract wording drafting completed by team and ensure forms are in compliance with state laws, statutes, and regulations. Oversee filing documentation and responses to Department of Insurance questions. Ensure team works with key stakeholders to gain approval of forms.

  Lead team to provide coverage analysis expertise and direction and ensure team provides expert recommendations. Consult on the development and use of forms.

  Lead team to develop and maintain competitor coverage form analysis and comparisons. Ensure team develops forms recommendations.

  Create and ensure team adheres to consistent workflow processes, controls, procedures, and best practices. Focus on continuous improvement of workflows and processes for the team and facilitate recommendations for improvements.

  Lead team to develop appropriate training and communications to support PI policy and non-policy forms. Ensure communication of coverage and form strategies are developed and distributed to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and review training and marketing materials. Conduct training presentations.

  Perform form responsibilities with expert understanding of the quote, issuance, and publishing systems to facilitate the development of forms. Ensure the team assists with system implementation of form changes including communication, documentation, input to test plans, and validation of form test results. Provide expert consultation on development of forms. Coach others to develop these capabilities.

  Provide advanced consulting services for form design, system, compliance issues and collaborates with other functional teams to ensure options and recommendations are aligned with product strategy, underwriting, and pricing. Develops team to acquire this capability.

  Develops team in the areas of leadership, product knowledge (forms, coverage, underwriting, product features), and soft skills proficiencies.

  Effectively prioritizes and performs resource capacity management.

  May represent Travelers for industry committees.

  Perform other duties as assigned.

  What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  Seven years of insurance forms/product development, claims, or legal experience.

  Expert knowledge and understanding of insurance products, systems, contracts, forms, coverage, compliance, regulatory environment, and insurance financials.

  Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage change, develop employees, and align resources to accomplish key objectives.

  Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.

  Advanced organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and follow through to ensure timely completion.

  Coaching and talent development skills including the ability to mentor and motivate others. Ability to train others to develop this skill.

  Strong ability to maximize individual and organizational performance. Resource and capacity management skills.

  What is a Must Have?

  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Four years of relevant experience with insurance products, underwriting, coverage, rules, compliance/regulatory environment, and/or insurance financials.
