Assist scientists with experiment design, set-up, monitoring and data collection for greenhouse, laboratory, and controlled environment studies.With limited supervision, he/she will assist in treatment application, planting/processing/disposal of plants/pathogens per USDA guidelines and training ofnew team members.Be a vital part of daily research activities, collecting/recording data and assisting in other tasks to facilitate timely completion of projects.Contribute to maintaining a clean and compliant laboratory, greenhouse and/or controlled environment chamber.Attend and participate in group and project meetings. Assist with scheduling and developing complex timelines. Provide timely and frequentcommunication regarding any updates, changes, or issues that arise.Ability to work effectively in a multi-project team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals, as well as work independently. May beresponsible for leading independent projects.Reports to a manager and works under the guidance of several Scientists. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Performs a variety of tasks and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:BA/BS, with 1-2 year of greenhouse and/or laboratory agricultural testing experience preferred.The successful candidate will be meticulous, have a strong work ethic, be team-oriented and take direction well.
