Our client is a leader in the logistics industry, with a strong presence in Wilmington, CA. They are committed to provide excellent service to their clients and are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in managing the billing process related to shipments to and from the port.

Job Overview:

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating shipments to and from the port and processing billing accordingly. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate shipments to and from the port, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

Process billing for all shipments, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve any billing or shipment-related inquiries.

Maintain and update billing records and documentation for all shipments.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring prompt payment.

Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of shipments.

Generate and analyze billing reports to track billing accuracy and efficiency.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual billing summaries.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in logistics or shipping.

Strong understanding of billing processes and procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting, finance, or logistics is a plus.
