POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Benefits Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and administering all aspects of employee benefits within the wholesale and distribution industry. From leading the employee benefits renewal process to administering the 401(k) plan and managing non-occupational disability cases, your strategic approach will shape a positive employee experience. Take the lead in Wellness and Employee Assistance programs, ensuring compliance with employee benefits activities, and contributing to the financial aspect through accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, evaluate, and modify benefits policies to ensure current, competitive, and legally compliant programs.
Fulfill reporting requirements per government rules, including ERISA.
Distribute information on employee benefits policies through written and verbal communication.
Direct and review employee benefit programs, integrating them post-mergers and acquisitions.
Identify and implement benefits to enhance employee quality of life, collaborating with brokers and researching benefits issues.
Manage the design of tools for benefits selection and guide managers and employees through decisions.
Mediate between benefits providers and employees, addressing benefits-related queries and suggestions.
Plan and conduct new employee orientations, fostering a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
Process month-end reconciliation reports for General Ledger cost allocations, reconcile benefit-related invoices, and approve billing.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2-3 years of experience in employee benefits administration/management.
Preferred: Working knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs).
COMPUTER SKILLS:
MS Office Suite
HRIS Systems: ExponentHR (preferred)
