About Behavior Coach/Interventionist

  The Behavioral Midlevel is a trained individual who providesbehavioral services and case management to students in an educational settingand provides field training and supervision to School Aides, BehaviorTechnicians, and related field staff under the supervision of a Board CertifiedBehavior Analyst (BCBA).

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Develops goals, teaching strategies, and behavior changeplans using Applied Behavior Analysis principles under the supervision of aBCBA

  Provides behavioral services to students with an IEPdesignation, general classroom support, or students with a behavior change plan

  Trains School Aides and Behavior Technicians in the field onbehavioral principles, implementing behavior change plans, implementing skillacquisition goals, data collection, and how to work through or addresschallenging behavior

  Writes behavior change plans and progress reports onbehavior rates and skill acquisition goals

  Monitors progress and effectiveness of implementedbehavioral and teaching strategies

  Analyzes, writes reports, and presents data and progress inan easy to understand format

  Works with other on-site supervisors such as teachers,administrators, psychologists, etc. to identify and establish behavioralstrategies that will produce long term success through maintenance andgeneralization

  Minimum Requirements:

  Must hold applicable license, certification, or registrationin area of behavior analysis (e.g. ABAT,BCAT, LABA, or BCaBA)

  Bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching,psychology, or related field required

  Preferred experience in providing behavior analytic servicesin school

  BCBA certification or current enrollment in BCBA and/orMaster’s level program preferred

  One year minimum pediatric experience preferred

  Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

  Participation and completion of Maxim's Competency programwhen applicable

  Current CPR if applicable

  TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  Current health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site

  Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

  Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required

  Computer proficiency required

  Must be at least 18 years of age
