Bath Planet of Birmingham is one of the leading home improvement companies in Alabama and is currently seeking new and continuing staff members to be the face of the company to provide home improvement solutions to homeowners throughout Birmingham, AL, and surrounding areas.

Services include bathroom remodeling, bath replacement systems, walk-in tubs.

Bath Planet is looking for skilled candidates to fill our Assistant Bathroom Installer positions. Ideal candidates must be able to bend, lift, push, pull and reach for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs at a constant pace.

Job Duties  include but not limited to:

Demolition of existing bathroom

Haul away debris

Bathroom wet area construction (building walls, setting pans/tubs, installing glass, cutting panels and installing to walls, etc)

Job site preparation, including supply runs and preparing tools and materials, and setting up dust control and floor protection

Qualifications:  (If you don't have construction experience, fear not. While these skills help, we are open to training people that have great attitudes and a willingness to learn and grow their skills. With these installation skills, you can earn $100k+ within a couple of years).

Light plumbing

Light drywall

Extreme attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

Excitement to work in a team-oriented environment

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to lift heavy objects

Great attendance and amazingly positive attitude is a must

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (you cannot Uber to a customer’s home!)

Clean Driving record

High school diploma

The successful candidate will be subject to our pre-employment background screening process, including, but not limited to criminal background check, drug screening, and driving record check.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
