Citibank, N.A. seeks a Balance Sheet Management Senior Lead Analyst for its Miami, FL location.
Duties: Cover Business Treasury activities through balance sheet analytics and discussions with cross-functional and business staff, including Regional Treasury management, Country Treasuries thru LATAM, Finance, Risk and Business/Product teams. Support Global Consumer Bank (GCB) and Institutional Clients Group (ICG) Businesses, Finance, Markets Treasury and Risk teams to achieve balance Sheet optimization and return targets for the LATAM franchise as well as provide specific subject-matter expertise and focus on execution strategies related to Citi’s Balance Sheet management within evolving policy framework. Support Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) thru Net Interest Margin (NIM), Cost of Funds (COF), Balance Sheet efficiency, hedging analytics and Returns optimization. Provide analytical support, both quantitative and qualitative, regarding key focus areas under the Balance Sheet Diagnostic framework covering NIM, return on Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and Tangible Common Equity (TCE), deposits Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) value and impact of regulatory developments. Monitor LATAM GCB and ICG Deposits targets. Contribute to the work done by New York Business Treasury to ensure that both EOP and AVG deposits volumes remain on target. Support the implementation of split of total targets into other dimension e.g., legal entity and currency. Contribute to the annual Planning and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) processes, focusing on Balance Sheet, Net Interest Revenue (NIR), NIM and Returns forecasting. Support the Regional Treasurer on the ALCO process. Lead Balance Sheet Costing initiatives and their regional implementation. Lead the regional implementation on any other business-oriented initiatives such as: NIM, Cost of Funds, Betas, Deposits Hedging Models. Supervises: Two (2) Balance Sheet Management Lead Analysts. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policy.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering (Any), or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Three (3) years of experience must include: Developing and maintaining models and tools to support balance sheet management decision-making; Supporting ALCOs and Regional Businesses; Providing analytical support, both quantitative and qualitative, regarding key focus areas under the Balance Sheet Diagnostic framework covering net interest margin, return on RWA and TCE, deposits LCR value, and impact of regulatory developments; Ensuring accuracy and soundness during planning cycles and analyzing NIM profitability taking into account foreign exchange (FX), Money Markets and interest rates risks for LATAM markets; Developing and maintaining relationships with other departments, functions and regions, including Risk and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), to ensure alignment and collaboration across the region on balance sheet management initiatives; Performing analytics and data management using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling, which involves creating models including deposit hedging structures or forecasting balance sheets including NIM; Ensuring soundness and accuracy of Local Balance Sheets in annual Planning and CCAR processes, including focusing on loans, investments, deposits, and debt; Leading and coordinating review and implementation of deposits betas used in COF forecasting, interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) metrics, and deposit hedging; Identifying and managing LATAM legal entities’ ability to meet short-term and long-term obligations taking into account capital, interest rate risk and liquidity, and U.S. and local regulations. 40 hrs./wk.
