Description:
The Microsoft Infrastructure as a Service team is responsible for supporting the actual infrastructure that creates the Azure cloud. All application and services that are sitting on Azure are utilizing these machines to function.
This team specifically focuses on and supports the Virtual environments running within Azure.
The breakdown of each day is consistent! 4 hours will be spent accepting new, incoming calls from customers. The last 4 hours of the day will be spent managing back log (researching issues in the backlog, making plans to resolve these issues and following up on existing cases)
Summary:
The main function of a Support Engineer is to provide technical assistance to computer system users. A typical Support Engineer is responsible for answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
• 5+ years of experience, preferably supporting Storage environments - SAP strongly desired
• building storage servers for SAP
• Relational Database Management knowledge (RDBMS): deep knowledge including performance query analysis, sizing, HA/DR and storage/disk design of SAP High-performance Analytical Appliance (HANA)
• Hyper-Visor/Cloud/Networking Skills: Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions based on the following: Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with scripting and automation
• Troubleshooting skills
• Track record of supporting reliable, highly available and scalable SAP architecture for customers.
• Ability to clearly articulate complex solutions and/or problems.
