Description:
Avionics technicians need to be able to read and interpret drawings in order to lay in wiring from point to point using aircraft landmarks.
Need to have basic Avionics skills which involves terminating multi pin connectors, adding splices, installing environmental shields, terminating and adding wires to terminal blocks, circuit breakers, logic modules, and soft splices.
Terminating various RF connectors.
Performing different test procedures using multimeters, o-scopes, signal generators/ injectors, megometers (bonding checks) and wattmeters.
Familiarity with Garmin products specifically G1000H NXI a plus as well as Laptop software installation using various Windows operating systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Aircraft or helicopter avionics troubleshooting and repair experience.
3+ years aircraft experience is required.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principals as applied to aviation/aircrafts
Must be able to use / interpret schematics, diagrams, blue prints and technical publications.
A&P Licenses are strongly preferred but candidates who hold current FAA Sign off’s OR hold one of the two Airframe OR Powerplant Licenses will be considered..
