Automotive Technology TeacherLocation: BOCES Center at BelmontDivision: Career & Technical EducationSelected candidate must provide career and technical education in a NYSED approved CTE program, including integrated academic content in collaboration withacademic teachers, work-based learning opportunities in collaboration with the WBL coordinator.Responsibilities for instruction may include, but are not limited to:Developing lesson plans, demonstrations, activities, project and assessments aligned with the outcomes of the NYSED approved program curriculum map.Participate in NYSED CTE program approval process including curriculum development.Meet with colleagues to coordinate lesson plans, share resources and expertise in the content area.Communicate with parents/guardians and educators to discuss student progress and concerns both on a regular basis and as needed.Maintain proficiency in the use of technology in the industry and for instructional purposes.Willingness to obtain relevant industry credentials to provide CTE students with the instruction and opportunity to earn credentials.Timely completion of required tasks within the established timelines.Maintain an active Advisory Committee and develop work-based learning opportunities.Other tasks and duties as assigned by the building principal.NYS Career and Technical Education Teaching Certification in Vehicle Maintenance field willingness to obtain.Knowledge and expertise in automotive technology field a must.Minimum 4 years occupational experience needed for certification.Must have a valid driver's license
