  KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Associate or Associate to join our Business Tax Services (https://tax.kpmg.us/content/tax/en/index.html) practice.

  Responsibilities:

  Support multi-state companies with state and local income tax compliance

  Help clients with tax issues related to state and local income franchise tax

  Prepare state income and franchise tax estimated payments, extensions, and tax returns

  Assist in handling notices received from state tax authorities

  Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:

  Review state income and franchise tax estimated payments, extensions, and tax returnsQualifications:

  Minimum one year of state income tax experience with multi-state tax issues; recent public accounting and/or State & Local tax experience required

  Bachelor’s degree with requisite hours to pursue CPA certification or JD/LLM; Master’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred

  Ability to foster relationships both internally as well as with clients

  Excellent writing, compliance, communication, and tax research skills

  Capability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment

  Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:

  Minimum of two years of recent experience preparing state income tax returns and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues

  State income tax return review experience preferred
