The Practice Our Restoration & Renewalpractice provides owners and managers with a home for solutions to awide range of structural, envelope, and building systems needs forexisting properties of every use, age, and construction type. Ourmultidisciplinary design and assessment services cover a wide range ofneeds. We perform condition assessments, investigations, feasibilitystudies, and peer reviews. We design repairs, renovations, andalterations and oversee their execution in the field. The Role We havean exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented HistoricPreservation/Building Envelope Associate, Architect, or Engineer with aninterest in historic preservation specializing in exterior restoration,preservation design, and forensics. Projects range from culturalinstitutions to vintage high-rises to historic bridges to adaptive reuseof industrial buildings. Project typologies range from early masonryconstruction to mid-century modern curtain walls. Responsibilities *Tasks include condition assessments, developing material testingprograms, report writing, developing repair design strategies, preparingCD\'s, and construction phase services. * Team coordination wouldinclude working with design architects, structural engineers,conservators, testing labs, owners, owner representatives, andcontractors. * Additional in-house coordination would include TT\'sdiverse disciplines, including protective design, faade engineering,structural design, and sustainability, as well as other TT officesaround the US and Canada. Requirements: * Bachelor of Architecture(5-year program), Master of Architecture or BS in Civil Engineering. MSin Historic Preservation preferred. * Experience with faadeassessments, CD\'s, and construction phase services in the field andoffice. Knowledge of conservation or preservation techniques ispreferred. * Travel to job sites around the NYC metro area and thegreater Northeast. * Advanced in AutoCAD.
