　　Job Description

　　Eurofins SF Analytical Laboratories is searching for an Associate Microbiologist to perform microbiological release testing of infant formula. The position requires following SOPs and quality control procedures to support client needs and meet client expectations.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Use of proper handling procedures and aseptic technique.Ability to perform microbiological procedures such as, sample dilutions and enrichments, sample plating for quantification, sample transfers, and PCR analysis.Adhere to appropriate quality measures, which meet or exceed the standards set by ISO 17025, FDA GMPs, and company requirementsPerform analysis and record test data in associated logbooks or bench recordsEnter data into a Laboratory Information Management System (eLIMS) in a timely and accurate manner.Perform routine cleaning and quality checks for equipment to ensure compliance with operational specificationsAbility to maintain laboratory environment (cleaning and sanitizing workspaces, consumables inventory, media inventory, etc.)Assist in media preparation and glassware washing as requiredPlan for the assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.Contributes to a cohesive team environment.Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications

　　Ability to learn new techniques and follow written proceduresExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsComfortable working in a fast paced environment and adjust workload based upon changing prioritiesAbility to be flexible with schedule, and work overtime as needed.Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift approximately 30 lbs.Experience with PCR analyses and proper pipetting techniquesUnderstanding of aseptic technique in a microbiology laboratory.Additional Information
