　　Exercise strong judgement to advise The Trade Desk team and contribute to the overall success of the businessStructure, draft and negotiate a wide variety of inbound technology, vendor and purchasing contracts, including professional service agreements, cloud services agreements, SaaS subscriptions, on-prem software licenses, data center agreements, IT and equipment purchasing agreements, data protection addendums, and staffing and recruiting agreementsContinually improve our templates, playbooks, and legal processes to help us scale globally with a consistent but locally relevant approachProvide practical advice on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, and company policies in a risk-tolerant, but compliance-oriented environmentIdentify, research, analyze, and work with cross-functional teams to address potential risks related to data privacy, AI/ML, intellectual property, software licensing, information security, and labor and employment lawsWork closely with cross-functional teams to help streamline, automate, and scale The Trade Desk's global procurement processesDistill and communicate complex legal concepts in layman's terms

　　WHO YOU ARE:

　　8+ years of experience working in an internationally/nationally recognized law firm or in-house legal departmentAdmitted to practice in California or New York, as applicable, or the ability to register as in-house counselJ.D. from an accredited law schoolSignificant experience in negotiating complex technology procurement contracts and leading legal negotiations with large global companiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external constituents at all levelsExperience managing outside counsel is a plusExceptional critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in fast paced environment, while juggling competing, time-sensitive demandsStrong business sense and ability to exercise good business judgementExcellent interpersonal skills (sense of humor is a big plus)

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. 　　At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$147,000-$269,500 USD
