  This job was posted by https://www.azjobconnection.gov : For moreinformation, please see: https://www.azjobconnection.gov/jobs/6306423This position provides legal services as a practicing counsel, whichincludes interpreting laws, rules and regulations, as well as advisingcompany personnel on legal rights, obligations, and privileges. Thisposition is also accountable for preparing and submitting legaldocuments, including new government applications, required governmentalreports, contracts and internal legal memos, as well as monitoring lawsor regulations affecting the company.

  Core Functions

  Assists management with a wide variety of projects requiring legalexpertise, including preparing and reviewing corporate documents andcontracts, reviewing and revising hospital policies to achieve legalcompliance, reviewing proposed filings with federal and state agencies,and advising and assisting with legal disputes relating to contractualobligations.

  Assists in protecting the companys legal interests and maintaining itsoperations within the scope established by law. Provides hands-oncounsel to all levels of executive staff. Identifies and analyzes legalissues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations, andassures legal compliance.

  Advises company officers, managers and employees of legal requirementspertaining to operations including changes in laws and regulations,which may impact the company. Assures corporate compliance with a widevariety of federal and state laws and regulations. Provides educationand training to personnel by preparing and delivering presentations tomedical staff, hospital personnel and outside individuals on legalrequirements impacting the company.

  Assists in enforcement of corporate compliance with company policies andwith federal, state and local governmental rules and regulations.

  Participates in the reconciliation and determination of the legalposition on major legal matters and determines and coordinatesalternative sources of legal services to be used.

  The scope of this position encompasses all legal requirements whichimpact the company, including but not limited to human resources,compliance, professional liability, confidentiality, corporatestructure, business relationships with government and private entities,government regulation, internal self-governance and virtually allaspects of health care delivery. These principles are complex, fluid andmust be applied to an ever-changing environment.
