Job Description

Generates shop operating plans and helps drive performance to production schedules. Analyzes workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Basic Qualifications

Experience solving problems

Ability to communicate within cross-functional teams

Bachelor’s Degree

Understanding of Key Performance Indicators

Experience with Continuous Improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working for/with a DoD Contractor (may be redundant as I’d like this to be an internal requisition)

Experience leading a project or team

Familiarity with Microsoft Project

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S

SAP report experience

Salary Range: $62,000 - $93,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
