Technical Asset Operations (TAO) team aims to develop central, competitive capabilities, delivering end-to-end value through the AMS work processes as an integral part of our Downstream Manufacturing (DS-M), Integrated Gas & New Energies (IGNE) and Upstream (UP) asset teams. We support the business worldwide and often do so together with the deep capability of our Project & Technology (P&T), Information Technology (IT) and Finance & Data Operations (FO-Data) partners. You are going to play a vital role in the delivery of continued efficiency and effectiveness improvement by bringing cross-business learning on key processes.
What is the role
The Digital and Drawing Management Engineer will provide support to Shell’s OUs by updating the drawings through Hexogon SmartPlant P&ID (SPP&ID) drawing management systems and AutoCAD.
The role is expected to support as (SPP&ID) designer and closely engage with OU in updating the asbuilt drawing updation in MOC process.
What we need from you
Experience in drafting and detailing of process engineering drawings like P&ID, PFD and MSD.
Skilled in the Smart Plant P&ID intelligent and auto-cad drafting tool.
Ability to read and interpret the MOC red line markup updates in the process engineering drawings.
Experience in update and extraction of reports such as Line list, Piping component list, Instrumentation List etc., from Smart Plant P&ID.
Experience in as-built oil and gas projects.
Knowledge level SPP&ID administration is added advantage.
Review and quality check of process engineering drawings and reports.
User / admin level learning in Aveva suite can be added advantage.
Knowledge level in MS power tools, Auto-lisp, SPP&ID customization, VB macros can be a plus point.
Virtual working with key stakeholders for day to day operations.
Creative mindset on implementation of smart automations, utilization of different functionalities in tools which increases the quality and reduced efforts.
Effective initiative to identify and help resolve business and technical issues within areas of responsibility.
Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in different time zones.
Key Experiences and Qualifications:
Preferably a graduate of Chemical/Process/Mechanical/Industrial/ Piping Engineering Degree with 2-3 years of work experience.
Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical Industry - operating assets and/or a varied range of brownfield projects.
A minimal of 1 year of experience in Smart plant P&ID designer.
Understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Drawings
Design and drafting experience (Piping & Instrumentation diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams)
A diverse design experience, particularly with typical engineering/construction and as-built projects.
Familiar with international codes, standards, recommended practices, and knowledge level in Shell Dep will be added advantageous.
Strong understanding of fundamentals of Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil Structural and Process discipline required for drafting activities.
Result oriented with goal setting for self and team.
Experience in Hexagon suites or Digital twin is an advantage.
Demonstrates collaboration and contributes positively to team dynamics.
Ability to prioritize and ensure delivery of priorities for the area of responsibility.
Flexible and adaptable to change, with track record of demonstrating initiative, analytical capabilities and problem solving.
Ability to apply engineering best practices, codes, and standards to identify issues, recommend improvements, and implement solutions.
Ability to communicate complex ideas and interface with diverse stakeholder and teams.
